Am 24. Juni 2022 versuchten rund 2000 Personen, kollektiv die Grenze zur spanischen Exklave Melilla zu überqueren. 133 Personen schafften es. Mindestens 37 Personen starben. Die marokkanische und spanische Polizei reagierte auf beiden Seiten der Grenze mit Brutalität. Die marokkanischen (Grenz-)Polizist*innen beteiligen sich gewalttätig an der Abschottung Europas. Dafür anerkennt der spanische Staat die Ansprüche des marokkanischen Staats im Westsahara-Konflikt.

On June 24, 2022, about 2000 people tried to collectively cross the border to the Spanish exclave of Melilla. 133 people made it. At least 37 died. Moroccan and Spanish police responded with brutality on both sides of the border. The Moroccan (border) police are violently participating in the closing off of Europe. In return, the Spanish state recognizes the claims of the Moroccan state in the Western Sahara conflict.

Le 24 juin 2022, environ 2000 personnes ont tenté de franchir collectivement la frontière de l’enclave espagnole de Melilla. 133 personnes y sont parvenues. Au moins 37 personnes sont mortes. La police marocaine et espagnole a réagi avec brutalité des deux côtés de la frontière. La police (frontalière) marocaine participe violemment à la fermeture de l’Europe. En échange, l’Etat espagnol reconnaît les intérêts de l’Etat marocain concernant le conflit dans le Sahara occidental.
