Warum?
Trotz Petitionen an die Stadt, trotz Demonstrationen durch die Stadt, trotz Solidarität in der Stadt. Der Bieler Gemeinderat ignoriert unsere Forderungen. Dabei hätte es in Biel Platz für alle Menschen des Rückkehrcamps Bözingen. Um weitere Transfers von Menschen zu verhindern, braucht es mehr Druck, mehr Solidarität, mehr Kritik.
Die Stadt Biel erneuerte den Mietvertrag für das menschenunwürdige Rückkehrcamp Bözingen nicht. Der Kanton mietet das Gelände von der Stadt. Dieser Entscheid war menschlich, doch reicht nicht aus. Alle Bewohner brauchen nun in Biel eine Menschenrechtefreundliche Alternative.
Der Kanton isoliert Flüchtlinginnen und Migranten, die sich bereits in schwierigen Situationen befinden. Deutsprachigen alleinstehenden Frauen und Familien mit eingeschulten Kindern sind bereits vom Rückkehrcamp Bözingen in ein abgelegenes Camp ausserhalb von Enggistein (BE) transferiert. Im Juli schliesst das Rückkehrcamp Bözingen. Wenn wir keine Lösung in Biel finden, werden auch die restlichen Bewohnerinnen weggeschafft.
In Biel hat es Platz!
Für ukrainische Geflüchtete fand die Stadt in wenigen Wochen hunderte Plätze. Das ehemalige Alterheim „Oberes Ried“ steht immer noch leer und wäre eine mögliche Alternative zum Camp Bözingen.

Pourquoi ?
Malgré les pétitions adressées à la ville, malgré les manifestations, malgré la solidarité dans la ville. Le Conseil municipal biennois ignore nos revendications. Pourtant, il y aurait de la place à Bienne pour toutes les personnes du camp de retour de Boujean. Pour empêcher d’autres transferts de personnes, il faut plus de pression, plus de solidarité.
La ville de Bienne n’a pas renouvelé le contrat de location du camp de retour de Boujean, qui est bafoue la dignité humaine. Le canton loue le terrain à la ville. Cette décision était respectable, mais ne suffit pas. Tous les habitants du camp ont désormais besoin à Bienne d’une alternative respectant les droits humains.
Le canton isole les réfugiées et migrants qui traversent déjà de dures épreuves. Il a déjà transféré des femmes seules et des familles avec des enfants scolarisés, germanophones, du camp de retour biennois vers un centre isolé à l’extérieur d’Enggistein (BE). En juillet, le camp de retour de Boujean fermera ses portes. Si nous ne trouvons pas de solution à Bienne, les autres habitantes seront également expulsées.
Il y a de la place à Bienne !
En quelques semaines, la ville a trouvé des centaines de places pour les réfugiées ukrainiennes. L’ancienne maison de retraite au Ried du haut est toujours vide et serait une alternative possible au camp de Boujean.

Why?
Despite petitions to the city, despite demonstrations, solidarity in the city. The Biel city council ignores our demands. Yet there would be room in Biel for all the people from the Bözingen return camp. To prevent further transfers of people, we need more pressure, more solidarity, more criticism.
The city of Biel did not renew the lease for the inhumane return camp Bözingen. The canton rents the site from the city. This decision was humane, but it is not enough. All residents now need a alternative that respects human rights in Biel.
The canton isolates refugees and migrants who are already going through hardships.They has already transferred German speaking single women and families with children enrolled from the Bözingen return camp to a remote camp outside Enggistein (BE). The Bözingen return camp will close in July. If we don’t find a solution in Biel, the remaining residents will also be removed.
There are places in Biel!
The city found hundreds of places for Ukrainian refugees in just a few weeks. The former retirement home “Oberes Ried” is still empty and would be a possible alternative to the Bözingen camp.
