Seit Wochen gehen im Sudan die Menschen auf die Strasse. Gefordert wird der Sturz der Regierung und würdiges Leben und Grundrechte für alle. Das Regime reagierte mit Gewalt auf die Proteste. Der sudanische Präsident Umar al-Baschir ist seit 30 Jahren an der Macht. Internationale Gerichte verklagten ihn bereits 2009 wegen Völkermord, Kriegsverbrechen und ethnischer Säuberung im Darfur.

For weeks people in Sudan have been taking to the streets. They demand the overthrow of the regime and a dignified life and fundamental rights for all. The regime reacted violently to the protests. The Sudanese President Umar al-Bashir has been in power for 30 years. In 2009, international courts brought charges against him for genocide, war crimes and ethnic cleansing in Darfur.

Depuis des semaines, la population soudanaise descend dans la rue. Ce qui est demandé, c’est le renversement du gouvernement et une vie digne et des droits fondamentaux pour tous. Le régime a réagi violemment aux manifestations. Le président soudanais Omar el-Béchir est au pouvoir depuis 30 ans. En 2009, les tribunaux internationaux l’avaient déjà poursuivi pour génocide, crimes de guerre et nettoyage ethnique au Darfour.
