Am Montag diskutierten im Nationalrat mehrheitlich weisse alte Männer über das Schicksal von tausenden Eriträer*innen in der Schweiz. Anlass für die Debatte gab die Motion „Umsetzung einer fairen Asylpolitik in Bezug auf Eritrea“. Mit „fair“ meint der Motionär Damian Müller erstens, dass die Behörden „so viele vorläufige Aufnahmebewilligungen wie möglich aufheben (vor allem von Menschen, die nicht integriert und von der Sozialhilfe abhängig sind).“ Dass der Entzug eines F-Ausweises wegen scheinbar schlechter Integration oder Sozialhilfebedürftigkeit illegal wäre, nimmt die Motion in Kauf. Eine „faire Asylpolitik“ erfordere gemäss Damian Müller zweitens massenhaft Abschiebungen nach Eritrea. Deshalb brauche es eine „Verstärkung der diplomatischen Präsenz in Eritrea“.
Für eine so verstandene „faire Asylpolitik“ versprach die neue Bundesrätin Keller-Suter alles in ihrer Macht stehende zu unternehmen. Zum geforderten Entzug von F-Ausweisen versicherte sie: „Es ist selbstverständlich, dass das SEM den rechtlichen Handlungsspielraum im Bereich der vorläufigen Aufnahmen ausschöpfen soll.“ Und bezüglich der Forderung nach Abschiebungen sagte sie, es gehe dem Bundesrat aktuell darum, „seine diplomatischen Beziehungen zu Eritrea und die Präsenz vor Ort auszubauen“. In Kürze stehe deshalb eine weitere Mission nach Eritrea an, sagte Keller-Sutter vor dem Parlament.
Von Politiker*innen, die für mehr Eritrea-Ausschaffung lobbieren, erwartet die Bundesrätin jedoch etwas Geduld: „Ich wollte Ihnen hier ein realistisches Bild der Situation zeigen und eben nicht den Eindruck erwecken, dass mit der Überprüfung der vorläufigen Aufnahmen alles wieder zum Besten steht.“ Nach Eritrea abzuschieben sei für sie keine Kinderspiel: „Das gelingt nicht einmal den Amerikanern, die in Eritrea sehr viel Geld investieren. Auch von dort werden unfreiwillige Rückkehrer nicht übernommen. Ich bin aber trotzdem der Meinung, dass man diese Knochenarbeit leisten muss.“ Die rassistische Motion wurde mit 127 gegen 51 Stimmen angenommen.

On Monday, a majority of white old men discussed the fate of thousands of Eritreans in Switzerland in the National Council. The debate was launched by the motion „Implementation of a fair asylum policy regarding Eritrea“. The new Federal Councillor, Keller-Suter, promised to do everything in her power to achieve this kind of „fair asylum policy“. Regarding the required withdrawal of provisional admissions, she assured: „It goes without saying that the SEM should exploit the legal possibilities in the area of provisional admissions“. And with regard to the demand for deportations, she said that the Federal Council was currently concerned with „expanding its diplomatic relations with Eritrea and its presence on the ground“. Keller-Sutter told the parliament that another mission to Eritrea was about to start soon.

But I’m still of the opinion that you have to do this hard work.“ The racist motion was accepted by 127 votes to 51.

Lundi, une majorité de vieux hommes blancs ont discuté du sort de milliers d’Erythréens en Suisse au Conseil national. Le débat a été suscité par la motion „Mise en œuvre d’une politique d’asile juste à l’égard de l’Érythrée“. Par „juste“, le motionnaire Damian Müller entend, en premier lieu, que les autorités „supprimeront autant de permis provisoires que possible (surtout pour les personnes qui ne sont pas intégrées et dépendent de l’aide sociale)“. Le retrait d’un permis F en raison d’une intégration apparemment insuffisante ou d’un besoin d’aide sociale serait illégal. Mais la motion accepte cela. Deuxièmement, selon Damian Müller, une „politique d’asile juste“ nécessiterait des expulsions massives vers l’Erythrée. Mais je suis toujours de l’avis que ce travail laborieux doit être fait.“ La motion raciste a été acceptée par 127 voix contre 51.
